In My Mailbox, January 2012

This is another In My Mailbox post. A weekly activity hosted by The Story Siren’s Kristi created to increase interaction among bloggers and of course, to exchange book ideas and recommendations. It doesn’t matter how you got a hold of the book – it can be swapped, bought, given etc. – as long as you have it, you’re free to share it!

So for this week, I got myself a couple of books, which are a must-share. With the emerging market of the YA genre, my foray has already expanded to including this genre, and I’ve found great reads. This week, I bought these books:

1. Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout – I’ve previously read her American Vampire novel, and I liked it. So, it’s a no-brainer that when Obsidian came out, I just had to have it too!

2. Touch of Power by Maria V. Snyder – Me, i’m always up for some good reads from new authors. Touch of Power is the first of the Healer series, and i’m looking forward to see if the anticipation for this book is really worth it.

3. Vampire Academy: The Ultimate Guide by Michelle Rowen – vampire stories are a staple in the YA genre, therefore, it’s only necessary that I get a copy of this vampire guidebook.

I know i’ve focused on the young adult genre these days, but can you blame me? I’m feeling all the youth vibe, so I have to indulge. How about you? What’s in your mailbox these days?
