Teaser Tuesday, October 2011 (2)

It’s Teaser Tuesday again, and anyone can play along. Just stick to the following rules to join:

  • Grab the book you’re currently reading;
  • Pick a random page;
  • Post two sentence teasers from that random page.

Please DO NOT POST SPOILERS when you include the teasers. Don’t ruin the fun for others who haven’t read the book yet. But don’t forget to include the TITLE and AUTHOR too so others can look up the book and add it to their TBR list.

For my Teaser Tuesday, I pick Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.

         And I really did believe him – for a few years, at least – though mostly because I wanted to, like other kids my age wanted to believe in Santa Claus.  We cling to our fairy tales until the price for believing them becomes too high, which for me was the day in second grade when Robbie Jensen pantsed me at lunch in front of a table of girls and announced that I believed in fairies. – page 8

How about posting your own teasers for Teaser Tuesday?
